The provision of our service is subject to African Greenwich Safaris Ltd terms and conditions set out here which clients and agents should read carefully.

QUOTATIONS / BOOKINGS
Written quotations for the safari concerned, including the number of clients accommodation, transport, permits, park fees etc are provided. The quotation is not valid if any aspect of these is changed. Clients / agents should ensure all facts are clear to them before confirming the booking in writing.

PAYMENT / CANCELLATIONS
All African Greenwich Safaris Ltd. services must be pre paid. If full payment has not been received beforehand, the services booked will not be provided nor will the services of a third party such as a hotel or lodge be made available. A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking. The balance being due one month before departure. If the booking is made within 30 days of departure the whole amount must be paid at the time of booking. Cancellation of tour up to 14 days prior to departure will be subjected to cancellation fees of 20% of the tour cost. Cancellation received within 14 days of departure will incur forfeiture of the entire tour cost. The cost of gorilla permits must be paid for at the time of purchase together with non- refundable administration charges of 20% based on the total cost of the permits purchased.

SAFARI TERMS.
The safari services agreed with the client / agent will be provided, except in the event of un foreseen circumstances, such as road closure or bad weather, problems with the National Parks or hotels, and security problems e.g. In this case the itinerary may change, at the discretion of the company, and clients informed accordingly.

PRICES include airport transfers, accommodation, and meals, as stated. The services
of an English speaking drivers / tour guides and an appropriate safari vehicle, porterage of two items of baggage per person, boat trips, park fees, gorilla and chimpanzee permits where appropriate. Prices exclude: All items of personal nature, entry visa, tips, telephone calls, laundry, airport taxes, drinks. In Kampala or Entebbe the prices include bed and breakfast only. On safaris the prices cover full board.

GORILLA PERMITS
On receipt of payment the company books permits for gorilla trekking in the relevant National Park as agreed with the client / agent at the time of booking. Getting a gorilla permit is not a guarantee of seeing a gorilla as local conditions sometimes mean that access to the gorillas is made impossible at short notice. The company cannot be held responsible for any circumstance that might lead to gorilla viewing being cancelled, absence of the gorillas or border security problems. In the event of gorilla trekking being withdrawn at short notice, refunds are at the discretion of the relevant authority and not within the company's control. If refunds are made available, the company passes them on to the client / agent excluding the 20% administration fees charged at the time of booking.

INSURANCE.
It is a condition of booking that all clients must have sufficient and appropriate medical and repatriation insurance for the duration of the tour. Such insurance should fully cover all personal requirements including death, personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation in the event of accident or illness, cancellation or curtailment of the tour and loss or damage to or theft of the clients personal property . In addition, where clients undertake activities with a greater inherent risk such as mountaineering, animal tracking on foot, white water rafting etc they should ensure that insurance cover for such activities is included in their policy. If a client is unfortunate enough to have personal property stolen or sustains injures or any disruption to their arrangements this should be reported immediately to the company and where necessary to the nearest police station. Please provide details of blood group and age at the time of booking.

LIABILITY
African Greenwich Safaris Limited, its agents and staff make every reasonable effort to take care of all our clients and their property while they are traveling with us .The company however assumes no liability for any acts or omissions of its employees, agents and suppliers other than the specific liability provided for by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. By embarking on his /her tour and travel, the client accepts and consents to all risks involved with such tour and travel whether expected or un expected, save where the company provides their own vehicles for the transportation of the client.

The company and its agents act only as agents of the passenger in all matters relating to hotel accommodation, sightseeing, tours and transport whether by air craft, railroad, motor coach, ship, boat or any other means and shall not be liable for any failure to perform, injury, delay, loss or damage arising from or in connection with the provision of such hotel accommodation, sightseeing, tours and transport save where such failure, injury delay, loss or damage is caused by the negligence of the company.

The company shall not in any event be liable for any unusual or unforeseeable events or circumstance beyond its control including but not limited to terrorist activities, social, labour unrest mechanical or constructional difficulties, diseases, local laws, war, fire or any act of government which results in loss, delay, damage, or injury .The company reserve the right to employ sub-contractors to carry out all or any part of a tour .The company's liability to tour members for breach of contract in the event of services not being provided as a result of negligence of the company or its staff, is limited to the actual cost of such services to clients and the company s maximum aggregate liability to each client shall not exceed the tour price. Any consequential or indirect costs resulting from any negligence thereof are excluded. In the event of the company being unable to provide an service, the company will use all reasonable endeavors to provide an alternative arrangement of equal value, subject to availability.
The company's liability for death, bodily and illness caused to clients or any named person on the booking from/ through a motor vehicle accident shall not exceed UG shs 1000000 per person, as provided by the laws of republic of Uganda. In any other circumstance the company accepts no liabilities for death, bodily injury or illness or damage or loss of property. By payment of the deposit or acceptance of the quoted price the client undertakes to accept the provisions on liability as above.

JURISDICTION:
African Greenwich Safaris Ltd is incorporated in the Republic of Uganda and it operates under the laws of Uganda and that is the only jurisdiction that applies to any contracts it makes with clients or agents.

TRANSPORTATION
The company agrees to provide "4x4" wheel drive safaris vehicles, minibuses or other vehicles as required at the discretion of the company for the specific itinerary agreed. Although every effort is made to ensure that vehicles are provided in road worthy conditions, no liability can be accepted for breakdown, nor any damage or delay resulting to the hire as a consequence. In the case of a break down, African Greenwich Safaris Ltd will endeavor to provide a replacement vehicle as soon as is practical. The company's code of conduct for guides is available on request. Clients must not ask guides to break in any way. In the event that a guide does not follow the code the client /agent is asked to inform the company head office immediately. The company's guide whose decision on all matters such as the route taken is final must drive company vehicles. The client will be liable for any damage caused to the vehicle by any interference by him with the vehicle including legal costs.

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION.
The descriptions, information and opinions given by the company in respect of national parks, animal sightseeing, accommodation, itineraries, gorilla permits, security etc are given in good faith based on the latest information available to the company. The company cannot accept any responsibility liability for any errors or omissions given in such information.

VIEWING ANIMALS:
When it comes to game viewing, please be advised that there are no guarantees. It is a privilege to see animals in their natural habitat. Take only a photograph, leave only footprint. A gorilla permit guarantees that you will trek gorillas to their location but does not guarantee that the gorillas will be in plain sight.
